With its wide dynamic range, the 32-bit floating point format records more information, from soft to loud sounds, eliminating the need for tedious audio level adjustments while recording audio.
Phase Hybrid Autofocus
The most important thing with autofocus is to be reliable. In addition to contrast AF, the LUMIX GH7 offers a phase detection AF system that significantly improves the performance of subject tracking and metering technology. The camera can capture the subject even in complex scenes where multiple subjects are involved, ensuring accuracy even in backlit or low-light conditions.
Record ARRI LogC3
Using the DMW-SFU3A software upgrade key (sold separately), users can use ARRI LogC3*, which provides color matching to ARRI digital cinema cameras. The ARRI LogC3 curve image processing on the LUMIX GH7 is ARRI certified to implement this feature. Log recording capabilities, providing rich color information and wide dynamic range, have been expanded to include ARRI LogC3 in addition to conventional V-Log, further improving LUMIX workflow compatibility.
Richer tonal expression
Dynamic Range Enhancement takes two types of images in a single exposure and synthesizes them in real time to create composite images with rich tonal range, even in scenes with significant differences in brightness. When working with still images, this provides richer shadow tones in RAW data. On the video side, it provides V-Log/V-Gamut recording at over 13 stops.* It offers wide dynamic range across all ISO sensitivity ranges.

Providing internal 4:2:2 10bit C4K/4K 60p/50p recording, the LUMIX GH7 offers unlimited recording time* when used at the recommended operating temperature**.
