Advanced speaker drivers and optimized acoustic lens
The core capabilities of the 8 cm woofer have been significantly upgraded through multiple refinements, including a lighter voice coil, improved airflow, and increased diaphragm rigidity. As a result, the woofer offers outstanding performance and clarity, ensuring that mid and high frequencies remain smooth and pleasant to listen to. The 2cm high-resolution dome tweeter uses a lightweight silk diaphragm to deliver a beautiful sound that remains comfortable even during long listening sessions. In addition, the acoustic lens has been precisely tuned to match the new tweeter geometry, extending the effective sound reproduction range.
Triple JENO Engine amplification
To faithfully reproduce both high and low frequencies in a 3.1 channel layout, the system employs three dedicated JENO Engine digital amplifiers. These amplifiers provide powerful signal processing and maintain an accurate balance between the left and right channels and the subwoofer, while the Space Tune function further refines the sound to suit the position of the audio system in the room.

Space Tune™
The SC-C70MK2 includes Space Tune™ Auto, which delivers a well-balanced sound profile with a single touch. The system plays test tones and uses the built-in microphone to capture them, then analyzes the distance to walls and the nature of sound reflections. Based on this data, it automatically adjusts the sound field. In addition, the Space Tune™ function offers 3 presets (Open Space, Near a Wall, and In a Corner) for quick setup, and the Technics Audio Center app allows further fine-tuning of sound quality according to the listener’s seating position.

Multi-room functionality
With several speakers that have Chromecast built in, you can stream numerous music services simultaneously in different rooms, or play separate tracks in each room*. When using the Technics Audio Center app with another compatible Technics device, you can also enjoy additional sources in multi-room mode, such as Bluetooth, AUX, Optical input, USB, Internet radio, and streaming services supported by the OTTAVA™ f SC-C70MK2.
Extensive support for playback sources
Thanks to integrated Chromecast support, this unit not only plays CDs and radio, but also provides access to a wide range of online music services. Playback from Spotify Connect, Deezer and various Internet radio stations is supported. AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, network playback, USB storage, and analog/digital inputs are also available, so you can enjoy almost any audio source from a single system. The Technics Audio Center app interface for iOS/Android smartphones has been redesigned to make operation more intuitive and user-friendly.
“Favorites” function
You can assign up to 9 presets directly on the main unit, including preferred Internet radio stations, DEEZER playlists, or tracks stored on a USB drive. This makes it possible to start listening to your favorite content instantly, without opening the app.
