Advanced speaker drivers and acoustic lens
The core performance of the 8 cm woofer driver has been significantly upgraded thanks to a number of refinements, including a lighter voice coil, improved airflow, and a more rigid diaphragm. As a result, the woofer delivers higher precision and clarity, making mid and high frequencies smooth and pleasant to listen to. The 2cm high-resolution dome tweeter uses a lightweight silk diaphragm that produces a refined, fatigue-free sound even during long listening sessions. In addition, the acoustic lens has been tailored to the new tweeter profile, further extending the sound reproduction range.
Triple JENO Engine amplifiers
To ensure faithful playback of both high and low frequencies in a 3.1 layout, the system incorporates three dedicated JENO Engine digital amplifiers. These amplifiers offer robust processing capability and maintain an accurate balance between the left and right channels and the subwoofer, while the Space Tune function adjusts the sound character to match the placement of the audio system.

Space Tune™
The SC-C70MK2 features Space Tune™ Auto, which delivers optimally balanced sound with a single button press. It emits test tones and uses the microphone built into the SC-C70MK2 to evaluate wall distance and reflection patterns. Based on this analysis, the sound field is automatically adjusted. In addition, Space Tune™ provides three preset modes (Open Space, Against a Wall, In a Corner) for quick setup, and with the Technics Audio Center app you can further fine-tune the sound according to the listener’s position.

By using several Chromecast built-in speakers, you can stream a wide range of music services to different rooms simultaneously, or enjoy separate content in each room*. Moreover, when using the Technics Audio Center app together with other Technics-compatible devices, you can distribute additional sources such as Bluetooth, AUX, Optical input, USB, Internet radio, as well as music streaming services supported by the OTTAVA™ f SC-C70MK2, in multi-room mode.
Extensive support for playback sources
Thanks to built-in Chromecast support, this system can handle not only CDs and radio broadcasts, but also a wide selection of music streaming platforms. Streaming from Spotify Connect, Deezer, and various Internet radio services is supported. AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, network playback, USB storage, and analog/digital inputs are also available, allowing you to enjoy numerous audio sources through a single unit. The user interface of the Technics Audio Center app for iOS/Android smartphones has been redesigned to offer a more intuitive and convenient experience.
“Favorites” function
You can assign up to 9 presets on the main unit, such as preferred Internet radio stations, DEEZER playlists, or tracks stored on a USB drive. This lets you access your favorite music directly, without opening the app.
